I agree with, in fact, absorbed, most of the authors’ explanations about word structure and teaching practice. The reference lists are also useful. I found a few word puzzle/test generator that are useful.
This book is not a vocabulary builder which actually explains roots and related words. 
Merriam-Webster's Vocabulary Builder is a good vocabulary builder based on Greek and Latin roots.
